Wish me a happy Release Day! (Also, if you're so inclined, you can wish me happy birthday. I'm older than most of you and younger than many of you.) A Boy Who Made Music: The Extraordinary Life of Joaquin Rodrigo is now available far and wide (and near, for that matter) in paperback and hardcover editions, with the braille edition pending. If you use Amazon, it's here; if you prefer other retailers, you could, e.g., go to bookshop.org for it.
This is my first nonfiction picture book, and it posed various challenges (even before the confrontation with the pesky spelling of "diphtheria," now resolved). I'm pleased with how it came out, and owe manifold thanks to illustrator Tomasz Mikutel, watercolor artist and immensely patient human being.
Here's the art for the final double-page spread in the book, before the information and activities in the back matter.
